OUTREACH

The Stephenson group has an established history of leading outreach programs that have been dedicated to inspiring students to achieve success in the STEM fields.  Currently, in collaboration with the Schindler group, we participate in two programs: FEMMES and MMSS.

“Females Excelling More in Math, Engineering, and Science” (FEMMES) is a program designed to introduce elementary school age girls to science in a fun and engaging atmosphere. The program aims to address gender disparity in STEM fields by promoting self-confidence, teaching technical skills, and developing leadership.

Michigan Math and Science Scholars program (MMSS) is a two-week summer camp designed to introduce pre-college students from around the world to the curricula offered at the University of Michigan in the STEM fields.
